This month is my daughters birthday, so we have been searching for theme ideas for her party. We went through various ideas like a ladybug party, panda party, and now have settled on a Tinkerbell party! I found some really cute ideas for the Lady Bug Party.
I thought these Lady bug favors were precious!! But, alas, she changed her mind!! The lady bug craft ideas were really cute. It’s amazing all the cool stuff that’s out there for DIY Party Favors and DIY Birthday Invitation Projects!
One year for my son’s birthday we had a Dinosaur Party and the ideas were endless!! We hid dog bones around the yard and the kids searched like palentoligists. They loved it. They had binoculars and really got into it. We even hid some in the sandbox and they dug for bones there!! My mother in law who is way more artistic then I am, made a triceratops pin the horn on the dinasaur! It was a big hit!!
For my son’s Spiderman Party we put up villains and had the kids use sticky hands to to get them. It was a big hit. Of course we had a pin the spiderman on the villain game and they LOVED the spiderman masks and Jumpy!
So now I am trying to think of some ideas for a Tinkerbell party! I found some cool Fairy Invitations that I might use for Thank you notes. I am thinking of maybe creating a tiara or headband for the girls-something with maybe flowers and glitter. For the boys, some type of peter pan hat for the boys or maybe a green vest of some type. I think it would be fun to have some wings, so I might make some from cardboard and attach them with material or see if i can buy some cheap ones, that the kids can decorate.
Once I come up with my final list of what I am doing, I’ll post it with pictures. I already got a Tinkerbell tablecloth, bubble wands and jewels, along with Tink paper plates. Of course, there will also be a Tinkerbell Pinata which is really cute. My daughter loves Pinata’s!! I use the pull string ones-which are fun!
What kind of birthday parties have you had? Any fun party games?

Thanks for visiting my blog. What a nice sister you are to be working so hard to have your sis come live with you!
I LOVE making homemade pinatas. A great source for basic pinata-making information is FamilyFun.go.com. Just go to the site and search for “how to make a pinata.” I made their hot air balloon pinata once, and it was surprisingly easy and looked really good! I also like to cover a pinata with one plain color of paint or tissue paper squares, then print off a picture of their favorite cartoon character (like Tinkerbell), and glue it on the front. That’s always an easy decoration that kids love!
FYI: plan to start making your pinata about a week ahead of the day you’ll need it. It needs several layers, and each layer takes about 24 hours to dry.

Andrea-What a fun idea!! I never even thought of doing a pinata myself!! I will have to look into trying that-thanks!
Susan- Cool- if you do it, send me a picture-I’d love to see it!!
Hi, love your ideas!! Our girls had their first official party for their 4th birthday. They chose a Dora and Diego themed party. We searched high and low for items appropriate for 18 months-4.5 years old. We did a couple games that can be tailored to any theme and even the youngest toddler could participate with a little help. Here is the link to some of our ideas and the games mentioned are at the bottom of the page. http://www.teaching-tiny-tots.com/toddler-party-ideas.html
Teaching Tiny tots-What a fun party that sounds like. My daughter ended up having such a ball at her party. She loved all the tinkerbell decorations.
The best party I ever attended in my whole life is the beach party of one of my friends little sister.. It’s a bit dangerous to the kids because it was held on a beach, ‘obviously’, but it is still fun.
