Valentine’s Day is quickly coming upon us!! It seems like a second ago we were thinking about Christmas/Hanukah/Kwanza and the New Year!! Now we are just weeks away from Valentine’s day! If you look around the stores you would think it’s tomorrow!! Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to make a craft with your child. There is nothing better then a homemade gift from your child on valentine’s day! So here are a few ideas that you can use or give you inspiration!! Happy Valentine’s Day!

This is a great Valentine’s Day Craft that your child can make as a special gift for someone special in their life. Valentine’s Day is a great time to let your child get creative and share their artwork as gifts. Nothing is better then a child made gift!
Supplies:
- Construction paper
- Glue
- Glitter
- Scissors
- Marker, crayon
- Light or bright sunshine and clear wall
Steps:
- Have child stand side ways so the shadow of their profile is on the wall. They should have a bright light behind them or the sun to help project their shadow.
- Put a piece of black construction paper in front of the shadow and trace your child’s profile
- Cut out the profile
- Glue the profile on a light colored piece of construction paper.
- Decorate the outside border with glitter, Let dry.

This is a fun valentine’s Craft for your kids to create and it even doubles as a decoration!! This is perfect if you are having a Valentine’s Day Party or just to surprise Mommy or Daddy with a big loving message when they get home!
Supplies:
- Construction Paper
- Markers
- Glue
- Scissors
- Tape
Steps:
- Tape together four construction pieces of paper together to create a banner.
- Cut out 10 hearts from different color construction paper
- Write I love you on hearts, one letter on each heart with and empty heart on each end of the banner.
- Glue hearts on banner.
Surprise someone!
This is a fun valentines day craft to help your kids create and it makes a great gift for someone special. They can write a special message on it and give it as a Valentines Day Gift.
Supplies:
- Cardboard
- Construction Paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Ribbon
- Tape
Steps:
- Cut a large heart from the cardboard.
- Hole Punch two holes, one in each side
- Cut a bunch of small hearts of about the same size to line the border of the big heart
- Cut hearts of varying sizes and in different colors
- Glue the hearts in a collage on the large heart
- Glue the small hearts in a border around the edge of the big heart
- Cut a piece of ribbon
- Thread through holes, and tape to back of heart
- Cut Rectangle to write a message on, glue on bottom of big heart

Here is another fun Valentine’s day Craft. This is a nice heart pin that is quite easy to make. Your child will love being able
to give such a special present to someone they love.
Supplies:
- Red and Clear Beads
- Red pipe cleaner
- Glue gun
- Pin (can be purchased at a craft store.)
Steps:
- Thread the beads on the pipe cleaner until it is almost full
- Shape into a heart
- Glue pin to back of heart
- Let it dryEnjoy!
