Hi, Welcome back to Toddler Craft. Please subscribe to my Toddler Craft newsletter. Sign up to the left. It's full of more fun activities, parenting information and crafts! Thanks for visiting!

I have been tackling so many projects lately, I don’t know where to begin!! I can’t believe I did not take before and after pictures, because we have been rearranging our whole house! After my sister went back home with my nephew, we decided we would move our kids rooms, and then we decided we’d move our room. So we have moved almost all the furniture in the house around, including rearranging the playroom!! The past two weekends have been totally dedicated to these projects but they are almost done! Now it is the little things, sorting toys, paint touch up etc to get it finished. I have to say I am really excited because I really like the way it looks! So for the next few weeks I will be tackling more organizing, painting etc!! My big tackle that I have yet to start this summer, is painting the outside trim! UGH! It’s one of those projects that has to be done, but I am not looking forward to it!
What have you been tackling? Do you tackle big projects in the summer? What is your favorite type of tackle? What is your least favorite?

This week at toddler crafts I tackled one of my art supply cabinets. It’s something I have to do every few months. The kids and I are always going in there taking things in and out so it gets disorganized after a while. I have found that having shelves, bins (like tuperware or containers with little drawers) helps organize the various supplies for our crafts for toddlers activities! I think it is important to make it easy to access and put away otherwise you might not be as apt to access your arts and crafts supplies and create fun crafts!

This week at Toddler Crafts I tackled my daughters birthday party! Kids birthday parties are so much fun!! My kids love the
preparations leading up to their birthday partys!! They have such fun filling the goody bags and planning the activities for
their party’s!
This year my daughter had a princess birthday party!! She was so excited! We had of course the crowns and jewelry that is
necessary for little princesses. We also found princess and toy story silly bandz!! Those were a big hit! If you haven’t heard
of silly bandz yet, they are quite popular with kids, from ages 4-18! Many schools have actually banned them because they have
found them to be distracting. But they are fun for the kids to compare what they are shaped as when they are not at school.
Silly bandz are basically rubber bands that are in different colors and shaped like a variety of objects. When kids take them off and
lay them on the table you can see what shape they are. They make them in shapes like animals, music instruments, sea animals
and many more! We had a castle pinata which was a great hit! I love the pull string pinatas for kids! So much better then
wacking it with a bat!
This tackle was a definite success!! All the kids had fun, it was so much fun to watch!

This week at Toddler Crafts I wanted to discuss an amazing tackle my sister has taken on over the past 5 years. Some of you might recall this time last year, when I was having weekly tackles to prepare the room for my sister and son to live for the year. The reason for that was that she was completing her internship for her PhD and it was located by us. It’s hard to believe that was a year ago!!
This weekend my family and I attended the culmination of her hard work over these past years, we attended her graduation ceremony where she received her PhD. She has worked so hard these last 5 years while having a family. I think it is such an amazing accomplishment that I felt it fitting to acknowledge this incredible tackle!!
What have you been tackling?

This week I began the tackle of going through the kids clothes!! Every season I take out the clothes of the last season, in this case winter, and go through them. I check to see if there are things that don’t fit anymore or to worn and if so I give them to my nephews or donate them. Then I store the rest for the next year. So this week I began doing that, albeit a little late! I was getting to the point that I really needed more shorts out for my son, so I figured I better get to it!! After going through the clothes and clearing out the closets I took out the tupperware container full of spring/summer clothes and sorted through those. Those that would now be to small will be donated and the rest are now in my son’s closet. I think next week I will tackle my daughters clothes! That always takes a bit longer as she LOVES to participate in the project. She likes to try everything on to see if it fits or not. In the end that is a good thing, since she only keeps the things she really likes, but it does take a while.
What have you tackled this week? Do you have any season changing rituals that you do at your house? Are you preparing for summer? I know I am and I can’t wait!! Yeah, bring on the sun and fun!! I am ready for the days outside by the sprinkler and beach! What are your favorite things to do in the summer time?
