Spring is Coming Craft!! Painted Planter

planterI have decided I had ENOUGH of WINTER!!  (Actually I had enough two months ago) It is time for Spring, so to usher it in I thought I would show case a spring project!!  This is really fun because first the kids get to create the planter and then they get to plant the plant and watch it grow!!  You can use seeds or a plant that you have a cutting of.  Which ever you prefer.

Supplies

  • Clay Pot
  • Paint
  • Potting Soil
  • Plant cutting or seeds to plant

Steps

  1. Paint the Clay Pot (Get Creative- use sponges, shapes, brushes etc)(Glue things on it, like beads, Glitter, Gems etc. Whatever you and your child like)
  2. Put the Dirt in the pot
  3. Plant your seeds or cutting
  4. Water and Watch it grow!!

I love these kinds of projects because my kids love to see something they planted grow!! Can’t wait to start talking about Gardening projects!! Warm Weather here we come!!
