I found this great game on pbs kids.org.  It is from the show Zoboomafoo and is a great Learning Preschool Computer game free!  I love it because kids look at the pictures and try to match up the picture with the word.  Once you click on the match for example, “Elephant” with the Elephant picture, then you can get up a picture of the animal, with the name written for your child to color in.  This is a great way to incorporate learning letters into kids natural love of animals.  So head over to Zoboomafoo and check it out!

10 Preschool Computer Games Free

There are some great computer games online for free!  Many are quite educational too.  Here are  10 fun games for young children:

  1. Buster’s Travel Bingo – This is actually a game you can print out and bring in there car for rides, but I think it is great, so I am including it here.
  2. Cyber Pattern Player – Fun musical game that you can create music and patterns with.
  3. Monkey Faces – A curious George game where you drag the parts of his face on to the circle to make Curious George’s face.  Great for beginners just learning to use the mouse.
  4. Pogo-A-Gogo - A fun simple game- you move Curious George and have to figure out how to get the presents.  Uses Problem Solving skills.
  5. Roller Monkey – Another great Curious George game (can you tell we like curious george?) You have to match the colors of his skates to the ones you are presented.  Great matching game.
  6. CyberShot – You take pictures and make an album of the pictures you took in this game.
  7. La Casa De Dora – this is a fun game where Dora takes you in her house, you can pick different parts of the house to play in.  In her room you can dress Dora up in different outfits.
  8. Dora Saves Map – Uses problem solving skills as you figure out how to save map.
  9. Dora Saves the Farm – Problem Solving Skills and early math skills utilized as you find and count things to save the farm.
  10. Max and Ruby Toy Parade – You help max figure out how to get all the toys in a parade and into the toy box.  Uses problem solving and counting skills!!
