Here is another homemade Valentine’s Day Card that your kids can make for their friends and family. Homemade cards are so much more meaningful then store bought, when given by children. When a child works hard on their card and puts time and effort into creating it, it shows their caring. This card is very simple for a kindergarten or preschool age child to make, but it get’s the message across. Since it is not complicated, it will be easier for them to make a few for those closest to them. Kindergarten Crafts are so much fun to create, and even better when it is a gift to a loved one!
Supplies:
- Construction Paper
- Scissors
- Crayons
- Markers
- Stickers
- Glitter etc

Steps:
- Fold paper in half and draw half a heart
- Cut out heart
- Decorate Card
Have Fun!! Do you have a favorite type of card to make?
This is a great Kindergarten Craft activity for kids, it’s simple, uses recycling material and is inexpensive! Creating these mini-greenhouses with your kids is a great way to teach them about the plants growth cycle. They can watch every step and start to understand what it is that makes plants grow.
Elephant
A fun Kindergarten Craft is to use modeling clay to create all sorts of creatures. I like the non drying modeling clay that you can use over and over again to make your creations. There are so many fun and simple creations that you can make. I particularly like the Crayola Modeling Clay I recently tried. It had tubes of different colors and was easy to manipulate. It also stayed nice for future use. I just wrapped it in some wax paper.

SNAIL
Sometimes it’s fun just to to make lots of little pieces!!

This is another fun Craft that I got from Craft Caravan in the sample they sent me! To find out more about Craft Caravan, check out yesterdays post about this great company.
Here are the supplies I was sent in the sample packet

This is a great learning activity for kids. You can explain to them how the moon that we see looks like it gets smaller, then bigger. Then you make the craft and you can see the stages the moon goes through. I made my own version of this craft as well, so both my kids could do it, like I did with the Craft Caravan craft I previously posted about. It’s a simple craft to create and really fun for the kids. I will show how I recreated it.
Supplies:
- Construction Paper
- Foam stars
- Glue
- Scissors
- Pencil
- String
- Sand Paper
Steps:
- Make 2 Circles (The Craft Caravan Kit had the circles all pre cut, string and sandpaper included)
- Make 2 3/4 Circles
- Make 2 Half Circles
- Make 2 Crescent shapes
- Cut a string about 2 feet long
- Color Circles, on top of Sand Paper to make it bumpy like the moon
- Lay one side of full moon circle on table, put glue on it and then put the string on top of it. Make sure to leave about 3 inches of string above circle.
- Put a little glue on the string, put your other half of the circle on top of the first circle
- Repeat these steps which each stage of the moon. Leaving about 2 inches between each stage of the moon.
- Glue or stick the star on the bottom of the mobile
Enjoy!
