Seasons Collage

Preschool Learning Fun

Learning about time and Seasons can be confusing to them.  The more they discuss and associate things they do in different seasons, the easier for them to begin to understand this concept.  A fun way to help them learn about the seasons and the order they come in is to make this Season Mobile.

Before Making this mobile, I would suggest to read a few books about seasons. While reading the books, point out the different things you could do in each season, for example, in winter we can go sledding.   In summer, we can go swimming etc.  This will help them begin to associate the different temperatures, experiences of each season.  There are a few books that cover the seasons and would be good for this activity.  They are: Sunshine makes the Seasons by Franklyn M. Branley, Michael Rex (Illustrator),Time and Seasons by Barbara Taylor, Brenda Walpole, Barbara Taylor, Seasons 123 by Patricia Whitehouse.  You could also read a book specifially about each season.
