Snowman

Since spring won’t come as quickly as I would like, I decided I would do a winter theme project today.   This is a simple and easy Toddler Craft.

Before working on this project you might want to read Frosty the Snowman to your child by Jack Collins.  Then you can talk about Frosty and the story.   I always ask what they liked best about the story and have them retell it to me.  Then you can make a “Frosty” together.

Supplies you will need:

  • White Construction Paper
  • Brown Construction Paper
  • Orange construction Paper
  • Scissors
  • Brown Pipe Cleaner
  • Glue
  • Glitter Glue (optional)
  • Googly Eyes (optional)
  • Scotch Tape

Steps to Make the Snow Man:

  1. Cut White construction Paper into three size circles (I use circle tuperware lids to make an even circle)
  2. Cut from Brown Construction Paper a top hat shape
  3. Cut out a Carrot shaped nose for the nose
  4. Glue three circles together to make a snow man shape
  5. Tape Brown Pipe Cleaner to bag with two pieces of tape
  6. Glue hat on top of Snowmans head
  7. Make eyes with glitter glue or glue on googly eyes
  8. Then you decorate the snowman however you like, drawing, paining on him, or gluing pieces of foam shapes et
