It’s Summer time! Yeah!! Now if only the warm weather would arrive! In hopes of warmer weather, we made a paper plate fan craft. It’s simple and fun.
Supplies:
- 2 Paper Plates
- Construction paper (White and Yellow)
- Wooden dowel or Tongue Depressor
- Pipe Cleaners
- Scissors
- Glue
- Stapler
- Markers/Paint/Crayons
Steps:
- Decorate bottom of the plates. This can be done with markers, paint or crayons.
- Add a little glitter glue for pizaz if you have it
- Trace the outline of a Daisy on the white paper and cut out.
- Trace a circle on the yellow paper and cut it out.
- Glue yellow circle on white daisy
- After Paint/Glitter dries, glue on daisies
- Cover half of Dowel/Tongue depressor with pipe cleaners by wrapping it tightly around it
- Use liquid glue (glue stick doesn’t work well for this, tried that!) and run it around edge of one plate(top)
- Then put dowel (undecorated side) on plate
- Put other plate on top and hold together
- Put one staple on either side of wood dowel/tongue depressor
Is it hot by where you live yet? What are you doing this summer? Stay tuned for more details on the Art Contest prizes, coming soon!!

Rebecca-I am so glad you like it!! That is my goal, to give mom’s/dad’s and caregivers fun ideas to create with their children.
I made be a little late posing on here about this – but thought it was a great idea!
