Organizing all of your craft supplies can be a challenge. One great way is to have small boxes to put the various supplies in. This is a fun way to have your child help make the containers to put their supplies in. Because they will have made it, it will be easier for them to remember what goes where and be more motivated to use it!
Supplies:
- Cereal Box
- Scissors
- Construction paper
- Glue Stick
- Tape
- Crayons
Steps:
- Cut Cereal box, so it’s about 2 inches high
- Put Glue on outside of box and bottom
- Put box on construction paper
- Fold up around box, like wrapping a present
- Use tape to reinforce
- Decorate with crayons, stickers etc
Now you can make one for all your supplies: Pencils, Markers, Glue Sticks, Scissors, crayons.

what a great idea – and a great way to recycle

Like it and never thought about using a cereal box for that. Pretty Creative.

Thanks Brandy! I love simple and easy crafts!! Especially when I can use them.
Another way to make this is an empty Velveeta Cheese box – the cardboard on those are a bit sturdier. We’ve have used those (undecorated mind you) for pen, marker, crayon storage containers for years!
