Father’s Day is Fast approaching!! I thought it would be helpful to recap some of the Father’s Day Crafts we have recently highlighted at Toddler Crafts.
Do you have any special events planned for fathers day? What does the dad in your house like to do for his special day?

Fathers Day is fast approaching, so it’s time to really start thinking about fun fathers day crafts the kids can create for their dad. This is a fun card the kids can make for their dads that has a pop up inside. You can create the pop up to be something that fits your child’s dad’s interests. This one is made with a football, but you could easily make a soccerball, baseball, computer, bike, etc.
Supplies:
- 3 Pieces of Construction paper
- Crayons, Markers, stickers and other items to decorate the card.
- Glue
- Scissors

Steps:
- Take on piece of construction paper and fold it in half
- Cut in two places about an inch apart
- Pull in the piece you cut and fold card again
- Cut out your pop up- football, soccer ball, tie, etc
- Glue to pop up
- Write Fathers Day message on outside and personal note on inside
Enjoy!

This is a fun fathers day craft for your children to make for their dad’s. When it is finished you can put a nice picture of them in it. We made it with Melty beads which are sold I am sure by a variety of companies. You can design your own pattern for your frame which is fun! Melty beads are really fun for kids because they can make all sorts of creations and then once you iron it, it is a piece of art for them to keep.
Supplies:
- Melty Beads
- Iron
- Cardboard
- Glue
- Construction paper
- Scissors
- Picture
Steps:
- Create Frame from Melty Beads
- Iron (covering beads with wax paper) both sides of frame. Make sure you see the beads melt into eachother
- Let beads cool
- Cut piece of cardboard to fit frame
- Cut construction paper to fit cardboard
- Cover Cardboard with construction paper, glue the paper to the card board
- Place your child’s picture on the card board background
- Glue edge of frame to cardboard background

This is a fun activity for kids to make for a Fathers day Craft for their dad. My kids loved making each member of their family and deciding where it should be placed on the mobile. Dad’s will love being able to have their own special family picture to display.
Supplies:
- Hanger
- Index cards
- Magic Markers or Crayons
- Rubber bands
- Paper Clips
- Hole Puncher
Steps:
- Cut out enough squares or rectangles from index cards for each member of your family (we included our pets)
- Have your child draw a family member on each square/rectangle
- Put a hole punch in the top of each card
- Help your child write the name of each person on the card
- Use the paper clip and loop it through the hole on the card
- Loop the other side of the clip through the rubber band and then put a paper clip on the other end.
- Put the paper clip on the hanger
- Repeat for each card
- You can do this in a variety of ways, making different lengths.
- If you would like to decorate the hanger first, you can get some ribbon and wrap around the hanger for a more decorative look.
You can also use this activity as an opportunity to talk to your child about the concept of balance and how moving the various pictures changes the balance of the mobile.
Enjoy!!

This is a great Fathers Day Craft. My daughter had a lot of fun making it for her dad. Although, I realize it is not traditional to give dad’s flowers, I would imagine many dads would be ok with getting hand made ones from their kids.
Supplies:
- Small Squares of Crepe paper or tissue paper
- Pipe cleaners
- Toilet paper roll
- Ribbon
- Decorative foam or stickers
- Stapler
- Scissors
- glue
Steps:
- Fold crepe paper squares into a triangle and then fold again into a smaller triangle.
- Twist the pipe cleaner around the bottom of the flower/triangle
- Twist bottom of pipe cleaner to make leaves
- Make 4-6 Flowers
- Staple bottom of Toilet paper roll together to make vase
- Decorate toilet paper roll vase with ribbon and stickers
- Place flowers in vase
Enjoy!
