This is a fun craft for preschoolers.  They love to make music and what’s better then making something you can make music with!

Supplies:

• Construction Paper
• Rice, macaroni, beads, beans
• Stapler
• Tape
• Scissors
• Markers
• Paper towel roll or/ toilet paper roll

Steps:

1. Cut Towel roll to about 2 inches long
2. Pour beads, rice etc into towel roll then tape ends
3. Put on piece of construction paper and fold around it, stapling and taping it to seal it closed
4. Cut other pieces of paper to make a design and glue or tape it on the music shaker
5. Enjoy and play some music!

This is a pretty decoration if you make this preschool craft and hang it in a window.  With some shiny, glittery beads it adds a nice touch to a window.  Depending on how you arrange the pipe cleaners, it can also look like a dragon fly-as it does in the picture above.  Space them all evenly and you have a snowflake.  Make an X with 2 and put one pipcleaner end a little longer and it looks like a dragonfly craft!

Supplies:

• Beads
• Pipecleaners
• Scissors

Steps:

1. Cut 3 equal lengths of pipecleaners
2. Add Beads to each pipcleaner, turning ends on each after all beads are on.
3. Wrap a small piece of pipecleaner around the area you want connected
4. Get fishing line and tie it to your snowflake and hang it from your window

Many of these are cut and simple to create for a last minute thanksgiving craft and decoration.

This is another Thanksgiving Craft Activity to create with your children from Toddler Crafts Series on Thanksgiving Crafts!  Before creating this craft I recommend sitting down with your child and discussing what it means to be thankful and brainstorming some things they are thankful for.

Supplies:

• Construction paper (multiple colors for leaves, trunk of tree, and background)
• Glue
• Crayons
• Scissors

Steps:

1. Draw Tree on Construction paper
2. Cut out tree
3. Draw leaves on different colors of construction paper
4. Cut out leaves
5. Glue trunk on background paper
6. Write the things your child is thankful for on the leaves
7. Glue leaves on trunk
8. Write ” I am thankful for:” on the bottom of the paper

Here is another fun and simple Preschool Thanksgiving Craft.  Depending on the age of your child, they can cut out and color this turkey.  If they are younger you can cut it out for them.    Talk to your child about what it means to be thankful, and help them right what they are thankful for.

Supplies:

• Turkey Craft Printout 1 and Turkey Craft Printout 2
• Scissors
• Crayons
• Glue
• Construction Paper

Steps:

1. Print out Turkey Craft Printouts
2. Have your child color Turkey Craft printouts
3. Cut out Turkey printout
4. Get a piece of construction paper and place body where you would like it.
5. Glue feathers around below where you will place the body
6. Glue Body on top of feathers
7. Glue head on top of body
8. Glue Waddle by beak
9. Glue feet on bottom
10. Write what your child is thankful for in the rectangle and glue that on the construction paper
