Sarah at Like a Warm cup of Coffee has a great blog and on Mondays has a post about what motivates us to be the person we are and do what we need to do.
Today, actually this week I am very motivated by Earth Day!! I have been working on projects and trying to teach them about the environment. Having Earth day coming up has renewed my commitment to sharing my passion about our environment with my children. I have been really motivated by many of the posts I have read on other blogs about their earth day activities. I guess in the end-it is really my children and wanting their lives to be good that motivates me more then anything.

Thanks for participating! I like earth day, but I struggle with the hype of “go green!” It drives me a little nutty. I think we should absolutely be good stewards of the earth – it is where we live and all! I just don’t like the idea of people going so gung-ho over it that more important issues get pushed aside – do you know what I mean?
With that said, I love your ideas!

Sarah-I believe everything in moderation. That is pretty much my motto for most everything. The environment is important to me, but so are a lot of other things. I try to live a littl “green” by not wasting things, recycling etc. Just my little contribution. I don’t think it should be pushed on others. We should all do what we are comfortable with. So I do know what you mean. Love your idea of Motivate me monday!!

This week is Power-down TV turn-off week and we have different activities set-up every day. This Earth Day 2009 is also the We Generation Campaign.
What motivates me? Trying to make a difference no matter how small.
