Have a great weekend!
I found you blog at MBC. I love it! I’m following you too.
Hi Onnohall,
I saw your message on MBC and just wanted to let you know I am received your email subscriptions. But I’m not really familiar or have really used Mr. Linky’s before, though I have seen it on a few other blog friends sites. Do I need to register or open an account first with them? I guess I’ll just go visit their site and read how to do this. This contest sounds very encouraging to get my kids to work on a using their own imagination to create something to their liking. I’m looking forward to doing this with them. Makes me want to be a kid myself again. LOL…
If I can’t figure out Mr. Linky’s than I’ll make sure to email you a pic of what they did. I can enter both of my kids right? Or is it just one entry per blog? I have two kids, both in the different age groups, one is 3 (almost 4) and the other is 5 (almost 6). Just wanted to make sure I can enter both of their crafts….thanks.
Oh, and by the way; your new look fits great with you name and cute idears. Love what you did!

Hi, Sarah- Thanks for your interest. To use Mr. linky you just would enter your url from your post in it-it looks like a table. You don’t need to sign up for anything to use it.
You most definitely can have both of your kids enter!! That would be terrific!! Can’t wait to see it!!
JenJen-I don’t know why the button wouldn’t work? I’ll try the code out myself again and check.
Hi Onna, your button is now working on my blog!
Thank you for the visit!
I’ve added your button to my blog. It looks so cute. I sent out a tweet about the contest with @toddlercraft in it. I hope I did that right because I’m still learning twitter.
Hey Onna, Some reason your button isn’t working today. I noticed when it wasn’t showing up on my homepage.
Just thought I’d let you know.

Greetings Onna!
So far I’m not off to a great start with my kiddo’s!
The ‘perfect’ craft idea I had has turned into more of a pain than I expected for my 3 and 5 year old. Lesson learned; sometimes it’s better to go with a more simple and fun craft that you know the ‘ends and outs’ of before tackling something new and unfamiliar. I guess it’s time for me to view the crafts listed on your site for a new project more geared towards their ages (though I did feel like the two I had chosen would have fit), so we can actually enjoy working together rather than them ‘bickering’ at one another.

Sarah- Sorry you had a tough start!! I know how that is!! LOL! I am going to link to some fun posts on Thursday that I really enjoyed doing, maybe that will be some inspiration? You can always break out the playdough or chalk and let them get their creative juices flowing! I love when they tell me what they created! Can’t wait to see it!
Thanks Jillian-Can’t wait to see their work!
Thank Onna. I’ll keep my eye out for that listing of crafts you’ll post. We did manage do get our 5 yr olds craft of her chosing done yesterday and today Jesse wants to pick something, so this oughta be interesting and fun. I think his creative idea is cute
I did a future tweet with the URL to your site here that will go out tomorrow at 2PM. Just FYI.

Well it looks like I won’t be entering y 3 year old in the contest unfortunately. He seemed interested for a bit but was just so restless about it that he kept want me to throw him the baseball for Tee-Ball (his favorite passion). Finally I just asked him ‘Do you even want to do the craft with Mommy?’ To which he replied ‘I want you to throw me the baseball. I can show you what he’s already done by paiting rocks to look like ladybugs with google eyes and working on making a playground for the bugs (his idea about the playground, insisting they needed to swing and slide…lol) But he seems to have given up much to my dismay, yet I don’t want to force him so I’ve given him an ‘out’. It looks like my daughter is the only one who wanted to have the fun with craft making. Hey,, one kids out of two isn’t so bad, right??

awesome!!! this whole thing rocks. my son and i love this site…rock on!
Ashley-Thanks!! I am so glad you and your son enjoy it!
Sarah- It happens, and you can’t force it!! You tried your best, and they all have different interests!! My son would much rather create an experiment then a picture. My daughter on the other hand would draw and paint all day! My son loves creating creatures from his imagination, so that’s how I get him to partake in art time, but then again he is almost 7! At 3 it didn’t happen at all! One out of two isn’t bad at all!!
Thanks Onnaholl for your encouraging words!!! And you right, at age 3, it’s pretty typical for him to get constantly distracted and want to do other things. I did but him a pack of stickers (for a prize from mommy) for painting the rocks into ladybugs!
