My Tackle it Tuesday Tackle is actually a few projects I have been working on this week.
Tackle#1 -The major thing we have been tackling in my house this week is getting settled in with our new members of our household. If you have been reading my blog for a while now, you know most of my tackles have been in preparation for my sister and family to come live with us for a year. Well they came last week! We are very excited and everyone is settling in nicely. We have been working out the schedules of two families and how to make things work smoothly, but we seem to be getting things in order nicely! My kids are loving playing with their cousin! It’s like a big party to them!!
Tackle #2 -Working in the yard! We had a lot, I mean A LOT!! of rain for the past few weeks, and now have finally had some sunny days. The garden has grown wonderfully, but so have the weeds! So I have been on a mission to weed my garden. It’s all done and now I am anxiously waiting for the beautiful cherry tomatoes to turn red! YUMMM!
Tackle #3 -Coming up with a learning plan for the summer for my kids. Since school is out I feel I need to keep up what they have been doing in school. Especially for my son, who will be going in first grade. He needs to keep working on his reading, writing and math skills through out the summer. I am coming up with a plan of lessons and reinforcement that will help it be a pleasant experience for all! I’ll be sharing the lessons here as I develop them, so stay tuned!
Tackle #4 -Keep promoting the Huge Art Contest & Giveaway! There have been some terrific entries! I am really excited about them!! I can’t wait to see the rest!! The prizes keep building, it’s amazing and fun!! This is my first giveaway and I now fully understand why bloggers like to do them! It is really fun to give stuff away!
It’s been a busy and productive week here! How about for you? What did you tackle?

I am with you on the yard work…with 2 acres and four young children to tend to it is an ongoing process.
Over the summer I am teaching my son to read english. Yes it’s our first language but he is in a French immersion school and will not learn english until grade two. He is entering grade one this year and I want him able to read by the time school starts in August.
Great tackles!!
